Lichen merupakan organisme yang memiliki keunikan tersendiri karena mampu bertahan hidup pada kondisi lingkungan yang ekstrem. penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui spesies lichen, tipe talus, dan jenis substrat lichen di zona litoral/supralitoral dan terestrial di daerah pesisir kawasan pantai lhokseudu kecamatan leupung kabupaten aceh besar. metode penelitian yang digunakan merupakan survei eksploratif (jelajah) dengan purposive sampling sebagai teknik dalam pengambilan sampel. data dikumpulkan dari 3 stasiun dengan 9 titik pengamatan. data dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk memperoleh gambaran data lichen di lokasi penelitian. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) spesies lichen yang ditemukan di zona litoral/supralitoral dan terestrial di daerah pesisir kawasan pantai lhokseudu kecamatan leupung kabupaten aceh besar sebanyak 16 spesies, 14 genus, 10 familia, 8 ordo, 3 classis, dan 1 divisio. (2) didapati jenis talus lichen crustose lebih banyak ditemukan dari pada jenis talus foliose. (3) kulit pohon, sangat mendominasi jenis subtrat lichen yang ditemukan di zona litoral/supralitoral dan terestrial di daerah pesisir kawasan pantai lhokseudu kecamatan leupung kabupaten aceh besar. kata kunci: daerah pesisir, zona litoral/supralitoral, zona terrestrial, lichen, talus, substrat lichen.

Lichen is an organism that is unique because it can survive in extreme environmental conditions. This study aims to determine lichen species, thallus type, and lichen substrate types in the littoral/supralitoral and terrestrial zones in the coastal areas of the Lhokseudu beach area, Leupung Sub-District, Aceh Besar Regency. The research method used is an exploratory survey (roaming) with purposive sampling as a sampling technique. Data was collected from 3 stations with 9 observation points. Data were analyzed descriptively to obtain an overview of lichen data at the research location. The results showed that (1) lichen species found in the littoral/supralitoral and terrestrial zones in the coastal area of the Lhokseudu coastal area, Leupung Sub-District, Aceh Besar Regency, consisted of 16 species, 14 genera, 10 families, 8 orders, 3 classes, and 1 divisio. (2) it was found that the type of lichen crustose thallus was found to be more common than the type of foliose thallus. (3) tree bark, strongly dominates the type of lichen substrate found in the littoral/superlitoral and terrestrial zones in the coastal areas of the Lhokseudu beach area, Leupung Sub-District, Aceh Besar Regency
