Tanah merupakan medium tempat hidupnya berbagai makhluk hidup, salah satunya adalah insekta permukaan tanah. keanekaragaman insekta permukaan tanah pada suatu ekosistem dipengaruhi oleh faktor lingkungan, dan aktivitas manusia dalam mengelola tanah. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui spesies insekta permukaan tanah, tingkat keanekaragaman spesies dan peranannya di perkebunan jambu kristal desa kupula tanjong, kecamatan padang tiji, kabupaten pidie. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan jenis penelitian deskriptif. penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksplorasi dan pengambilan objek dilakukan dengan membuat perangkap jebak (pitfall trap). tingkat keanekaragaman insekta permukaan tanah dianalisis menggunakan rumus indeks keanekaragaman shannon-wiener (h’). hasil penelitian ditemukan insekta permukaan tanah dengan total 304 individu, yang terdiri dari 11 spesies, 9 famili, 6 ordo, dan indeks keanekaragaman (h’) = 1,59. peran ekologis insekta permukaan tanah diketahui bahwa predator sebanyak 271 individu (89%), herbivora sebanyak 21 individu (7%), dan detritivor sebanyak 12 individu (4%). simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah spesies insekta permukaan tanah yang terdapat di lokasi penelitian yaitu, camponotus compressus, monomorium minimum, nylanderia fulva, lygaeus kalmii, ventocoris rusticus, otiorhyncus meridionalis, pheropsophus jessoensis, acheta domesticus, thoradonta nodulosa, entomobrya multifasciatus, dan periplaneta americana. tingkat keanekaragaman insekta permukaan tanah di lokasi penelitian tergolong sedang, dan peran ekologis insekta permukaan tanah di lokasi penelitian sebagai predator, herbivora, dan detritivor. kata kunci: insekta permukaan tanah, keanekaragaman, peran ekologis



Abstract

Soil is a medium in which various living creatures live, one of which is ground surface insects. The diversity of ground surface insects in an ecosystem is influenced by environmental factors and human activities in managing the land. This research aims to determine the species of ground surface insects, the level of species diversity and their role in the crystal guava plantation in Kupula Tanjong Village, Padang Tiji District, Pidie Regency. This research uses a quantitative approach and descriptive research type. This research uses exploration methods and object retrieval is carried out by making pitfall traps. The level of diversity of surface soil insects was analyzed using the Shannon-Wiener Diversity Index (H') formula. The research results found ground surface insects with a total of 304 individuals, consisting of 11 species, 9 families, 6 orders, and a diversity index (H') = 1.59. It is known that the ecological role of ground surface insects is that there are 271 individuals of predators (89%), 21 individuals of herbivores (7%), and 12 individuals of detritivores (4%). The conclusion of this research is that the ground surface insect species found at the research location are Camponotus compressus, Monomorium minimum, Nylanderia fulva, Lygaeus kalmii, Ventocoris rusticus, Otiorhyncus meridionalis, Pheropsophus jessoensis, Acheta domesticus, Thoradonta nodulosa, Entomobrya multifasciatus, and Periplaneta americana. The level of diversity of ground surface insects at the research location is classified as moderate, and the ecological role of ground surface insects at the research location is as predators, herbivores and detritivores.
