Tanaman pegagan sudah lama dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan untuk obat tradisional. Tanaman ini dibutuhkan oleh pabrik lokal mencapai 25 ton per tahun, namun hanya mampu menyediakan 4 ton per tahunnya. Hal ini disebabkan oleh budidaya tanaman pegagan untuk kebutuhan industri yang hanya sedikit. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan produksi tanaman pegagan yaitu dengan memanfaatkan jenis dan dosis pupuk organik untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman pegagan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jenis dan dosis pupuk organik terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman pegagan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Rumah Kaca 1, Laboratorium Hortikultura, dan Laboratorium Ilmu Gulma Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh, dari bulan Agustus sampai November 2021. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) pola faktorial 3 x 4 dengan 3 ulangan. Jenis pupuk organik terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu pupuk kandang sapi, pupuk kompos serasah daun trembesi dan pupuk kompos tandan kosong kelapa sawit (TKKS). Dosis pupuk organik terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu 10, 20, 30 dan 40 ton ha-1. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis pupuk organik berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap berat daun dan panjang akar serta berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertambahan jumlah stolon umur 75 HSPT (Hari Setelah Pindah Tanam). Jenis pupuk organik yang terbaik untuk pertumbuhan tanaman pegagan yaitu pupuk kompos tandan kosong kelapa sawit. Dosis pupuk organik berpengaruh nyata terhadap berat daun, panjang akar, berat akar, dan berat kering keseluruhan tanaman. Dosis pupuk organik yang terbaik untuk pertumbuhan tanaman pegagan yaitu 10 ton ha-1. Interaksi antara jenis dan dosis pupuk organik berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap pertambahan jumlah stolon umur 75 HSPT serta berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertambahan jumlah stolon umur 90 HSPT, luas per helai daun, dan berat daun. Kombinasi perlakuan terbaik yaitu pada pupuk kandang sapi dengan dosis 10 ton ha-1.

Pegagan has long been used as an ingredient for traditional medicine. This plant is needed by local factories reaching 25 tons per year, but it is only able to provide 4 tons per year. This is due to the cultivation of pegagan for industry needed that are only a little. Efforts that can be made to increase the production of pegagan are by utilizing the types and doses of organic fertilizer to increase the growth of pegagan. This study aims to find out the effect of the types and doses of organic fertilizer on the growth of pegagan. This study was conducted at Greenhouse 1, Horticulture Laboratory, and Weed Science Laboratory of Agriculture Faculty, Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh, from August to November 2021. This study using a completely randomized design (CRD) of factorial using 3 x 4 treatments with 3 replications. The type of organic fertilizer consists of 3 levels, which are cow manure, trembesi leaf litter compost, and empty bunch of palm oil compost. The dose of organic fertilizer consists of 4 levels, which are 10, 20, 30, and 40 tons ha-1. The results showed that the type of organic fertilizer has a very real effect on the leaf weight and root length, and has a real effect on the increase the number of stolons at the age of 75 DAP (Days After Planting). The best type of organic fertilizer for the growth of pegagan is empty bunch of palm oil compost. The dose of organic fertilizer has a real effect on the leaf weight, root length, root weight, and the dry weight of the whole plant. The best dose of organic fertilizer for the growth of pegagan is 10 tons ha-1. The interaction between the type and dose of organic fertilizer has a very real effect on the increase the number of stolons at the age of 75 DAP and has a real effect on the increase the number of stolons at the age of 90 DAP, leaf surface area, and leaf weight. The best combination of treatments is cow manure with 10 tons ha-1. Keywords: Bunches of palm oil, cow manure, dosage and pegagan.
