Penelitian tentang keanekaragaman dan sebaran spasial kumbang daun (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) telah dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menghitung keanekaragaman, kelimpahan, kemerataan, dominansi dan sebaran spasial kumbang daun di Stasiun Penelitian Soraya. Selain itu, juga mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis kumbang daun yang diperoleh. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Agustus 2020 – Desember 2021. Pengambilan data kumbang daun dilakukan pada bulan Agustus 2020 – Februari 2021. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksploratif melalui observasi langsung pada objek amatan (Direct Explorative Survey) dengan menggunakan insect net pada 60 titik mengikuti jalur/trail yang telah ada. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kumbang daun (Chrysomelidae) yang didapat di Stasiun Penelitian Soraya, Kawasan Ekosistem Leuser adalah sebanyak 37 spesies dan 370 individu, yang terdiri dari 6 Subfamili, yaitu Subfamili Galerucinae (17 spesies), Cassidinae (9 spesies), Criocerinae (7 spesies) Eumolpinae (2 spesies), Cryptocephalinae (1 spesies), dan Altycinae (1 spesies). Nilai indeks keanekaragaman Shannon-Weinner (H’) sebesar 2,85 yang tergolong sedang, nilai indeks kemerataan 0,79 (sebaran merata), nilai indeks dominansi 0,08 (dominansi rendah). Sementara pola sebaran jenis kumbang daun
membentuk dua pola yaitu mengelompok sebanyak 35 spesies (94,60%) dan seragam sebanyak 2 spesies (5,40%).

Research on the diversity and spatial distribution of leaf beetles (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) has been carried out to calculate the diversity, abundance, evenness, dominance, and spatial distribution of leaf beetles at the Soraya Research Station. In addition, it also describes the types of leaf beetles obtained. This research was conducted from August 2020 – December 2021. Data collection for leaf beetles was carried out from August 2020 – February 2021. The method used was explorative through direct observation of the observed object (Direct Explorative Survey) using insect nets at 60 points following the path/ existing trails. The results showed that leaf beetles (Chrysomelidae) obtained at the Soraya Research Station, Lauser Ecosystem areas were 37 species and 370 individuals, consisting of 6 subfamilies, namely Subfamili Galerucinae (17 species), Cassidinae (9 species), Criocerinae (7 species). Species) Eumolpinae (2 Species), Cryptocephalinae (1 Species), and Altycinae (1 Species). The Shannon-Weiner (H') diversity index value is 2.85 which is classified as moderate, the evenness index value is 0.79 (even distribution), the dominance index value is 0.08 (low dominance). Meanwhile, the pattern of distribution of leaf beetles forms two patterns, namely grouping as many as 35 species (94,60%) and uniformly as many as 2 species (5,40%).
