L. scabra merupakan salah satu jenis gastropoda yang ditemukan hidup pada akar, batang dan daun pohon mangrove dan sangat tahan terhadap kekeringan. Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang L. scabra (Gastropoda) pada ekosistem mangrove, penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret 2022 yang berlokasi di kawasan Banda Aceh dan Aceh Besar. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kepadatan dan pola sebaran L. scabra pada ekosistem mangrove di kawasan Banda Aceh dan Aceh Besar. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian yaitu metode Purposive sampling. Sampel tersebut merupakan sampel yang di ambil dari 5 stasiun yaitu Stasiun 1 di Ulee Lheue, Stasiun 2 di Kuala Cangkoi, Stasiun 3 di Ujong Pancu, Stasiun 4 di Alue Naga, dan Stasiun 5 di Kajhu. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan satu jenis spesies L. scabra dengan kepadatan tertinggi ditemukan di Stasiun 1 berlokasi di Ulee Lheue yaitu 13,6 ind/m2 itu disebabkan karena daerah Ulee Lheue diduga faktor kondisi lingkungan dengan tipe substrat yang cocok sehingga mempengaruhi keberadaan kepadatan suatu organisme gastropoda khususnya L. scabra sebagai habitatnya serta mampu untuk perlindungan diri. Adapun pola sebaran yang ditemukan pada kelima Stasiun penelitian yaitu bersifat seragam. Pada penelitian ini yang menunjukkan nIlai tersebut seragam itu terdapat di Stasiun 5 berlokasi di Kajhu , disebabkan karena daerah Kajhu paling banyak ditemukan substrat berlumpur dan air yang tenang karena terkait faktor lingkungan yang sesuai dan bahan makanan yang tersedia. Faktor lainnya yang mempengaruhi kepadatan dan pola sebaran L. scabra tersebut adalah sifat fisik air laut.

L. scabra is the only gastropod species found living on the roots, trunks and leave of mangrove trees and is highly resistant to drought. Research has been carried out on L. scabra (Gastropoda) in the mangrove ecosystem, this research was carried out in March 2022 located in the Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar areas. The purpose of this study was to determine the density and distribution pattern of L. scabra in the mangrove ecosystem in the Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar areas. The method used in this research is purposive sampling method. The sample was taken from 5 stations, namely Station 1 in Ulee Lheue, Station 2 in Kuala Cangkoi, Station 3 in Ujong Pancu, Station 4 in Alue Naga, and Station 5 in Kajhu. The results of this study found that one species of L. scabra with the highest density was found at Station 1 located in Ulee Lheue, namely 13,6 ind/m2. Gastropods especially L. scabra as their habitat and capable of self-protection. The distribution pattern found in the five research stations is uniform. In this study, which shows the uniform value is found at Station 5, located in Kajhu, because the Kajhu area has the most muddy substrate and calm water due to appropriate environmental factors and available food ingredients. Another factor that affects the density and distribution pattern of Littoraria scabra is the physical properties of seawater.
