Vaccine administration is one of the efforts to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic, acceptance of this vaccination is strongly influenced by trust in the effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccine. The level of trust can be measured through share norms and value, willingness to endorse, perceived efficacy. Attitudes towards receiving vaccinations are beliefs that shape individual behavior in receiving COVID-19 vaccinations. This study aimed to identify the correlation between beliefs about the effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccine and attitudes towards receiving vaccinations in Kuta Alam District, Banda Aceh. It was correlative descriptive design with a cross sectional approach. The sample in this study were people living in Kuta Alam District, Banda Aceh (n=266). The data collection was carried out through a questionnaire with an instrument of trust in the effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccine and an instrument of attitudes towards receiving vaccinations. Research data was analyzed using bivariate analysis with the Spearman's rank test. The results showed that there was a correlation of trust related to the effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccine (p-value 0.000), dimensions of share norms and value (p-value 0.000), dimensions of willingness to endorse (p-value 0.000), dimensions of perceived efficacy (p-value 0.000 ) with the attitude of receiving vaccinations. Public trust in the effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccine was moderate with attitudes towards receiving vaccinations. Therefore it is important to provide interventions through health promotion related to the COVID-19 vaccine in order to increase trust and acceptance of vaccination.
