Penelitian ini berjudul “Penerapan Model Cooperative Learning tipe Numbered Heads Together Berbantuan Media Ular Tangga pada Pembelajaran Sejarah Siswa Kelas XI IPS I SMA Negeri 3 Bireuen”. Permasalahan yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini adalah motivasi belajar sejarah siswa kelas XI IPS I SMA Negeri 3 Bireuen. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran cooperative learning tipe numbered heads together berbantuan media ular tangga terhadap motivasi siswa belajar sejarah siswa kelas XI IPS I SMA Negeri 3 Bireuen, untuk mengetahui tanggapan siswa kelas XI IPS I SMA Negeri 3 Bireuen terhadap model cooperative learning tipe numbered heads together berbantuan media ular tangga. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini melalui tiga cara yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini melalui tiga tahap yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimulan dan verifikasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diketahui bahwa penerapan model cooperative learning tipe numbered heads together berbantuan media ular tangga pada pembelajaran sejarah siswa kelas XI IPS I SMA Negeri 3 Bireuen dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar sejarah siswa kelas XI IPS I SMA Negeri 3 Bireuen dilihat berdasarkan lembar observasi yang dilakukan oleh guru mata pelajaran sejarah SMA Negeri 3 Bireuen dan wawancara yang dilakukan peneliti dengan 5 orang siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran sejarah dengan penerapan model cooperative learning tipe numbered heads together berbantuan media ular tangga pada kelas XI IPS I SMA Negeri 3 Bireuen.

This study entitled "Application of Numbered Heads Together Cooperative Learning Model Assisted by Snakes and Ladders Media in Learning History for Class XI Social I Students of SMA Negeri 3 Bireuen". The problem raised in this research is the motivation to learn history in class XI Social I Students of SMA Negeri 3 Bireuen. The purpose of this study was to find out the application of the cooperative learning model type numbered heads together assisted by snakes and ladders media on students' motivation to study history in class XI Social I Students of SMA Negeri 3 Bireuen, to find out the responses of class XI Social I Students of SMA Negeri 3 Bireuen to the cooperative model learning type numbered heads together with the help of snakes and ladders media. This study uses a qualitative approach and descriptive research type. This research data collection technique through three ways, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study went through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and simulancy and verification. Based on the results of data analysis it is known that the application of the cooperative learning model type numbered heads together with the help of snakes and ladders media in learning history for class XI Social I Students of SMA Negeri 3 Bireuen can increase the motivation to learn history for class XI Social I Students of SMA Negeri 3 Bireuen seen from the observation sheet made by the history teacher of SMA Negeri 3 Bireuen and interviews conducted by researchers with 5 students who took part in history lessons with the application of the cooperative learning model of the numbered heads together type assisted by snakes and ladders media in class XI Social I Students of SMA Negeri 3 Bireuen.
