ABSTRAK
Peran pengawas sebagai supervisor di sekolah sangat diharapkan untuk membina guru terutama dalam meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogiknya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendiskripsikan: program, strategi, evaluasi, tindak lanjut serta faktor pendukung dan penghambat pembinaan pengawas terhadap kompetensi pedagogik guru di SMA penggerak Kota Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian metode deskriptif kualitatif yang dilakukan di sekolah penggerak, yaitu SMA Negeri 3 dan SMA Negeri 7 Kota Banda Aceh dengan teknik ‎wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) Penyusunan program tahunan dan program semester supervisi akademik pengawas di kedua SMA dilaksanakan diawal tahun ajaran dengan melibatkan kepala sekolah dan komite pembelajaran untuk bermusyawarah. (2) Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengaruh IKM yang dilakukan di SMAN 3 tidak menunjukkan perubahan yang drastis karena sudah sering dilakukan sejak pelaksanaan K-13, namun sebaliknya di SMAN 7 ditemukan pengaruh yang sangat signifikan di dibuktikan oleh prestasi yang di raih oleh siswa di tahun 2022, (3) Evaluasi program supervisi akademik di kedua sekolah digunakan sebagai acuan pembinaan guru di tahun depan. Program tindak lanjut terdiri dari pelaksanaan bimbingan dan latihan di sekolah, pelatihan, sharing di dalam MGMP. (4) Faktor pendukung: motivasi guru untuk terus meg-update ilmu di kedua SMA, sarana elektronik dan inisiasi kepala sekolah untuk melakukan refleksi di SMA 7. Faktor penghambat: kurangnya fasilitas elektronik seperti AC dan in focus yang tidak disiapkan pada tiap kelas di SMAN 3.

SUPERVISORS’ STRATEGIES IN IMPROVING TEACHERS’ PEDAGOGIC COMPETENCE REGARDING INDEPENDENT CURRICULUM IMPLEMENTATION IN PIONEER SENIOR HIGH SCHOOLS IN BANDA ACEH CITY ABSTRACT (Dedek Mulyani) The role of a supervisor in supervising a school is highly expected to foster teachers, especially in improving their pedagogical competence. The purpose of this study was to describe the programs, the strategies, the evaluation, the follow-ups, and the supporting and inhibiting factors found by supervisors in improving teachers’ pedagogical competence in pioneer senior high schools in Banda Aceh City. This study was conducted by using a qualitative-descriptive method in pioneer schools, namely State Senior High School 3 and State Senior High School 7 of Banda Aceh City. Interviews, observation, and documentation were the data collection techniques. The results of the study indicated that (1) the annual and semester programs regarding academic supervision in both schools were prepared at the beginning of the academic year by deliberating with the school principals and the school committee. (2) The results of the study also found that the influence of the implementation of the independent curriculum at State Senior High School 3 did not show drastic changes because it has often been carried out since the implementation of K-13. However, in State Senior High School 7, a very significant effect was found, and it was proven by the achievements of the school students in 2022. (3) The evaluation of the academic supervision program in the two schools was used as a reference for teacher development in the next year. The following up programs were in the forms of providing guidance and practice in the schools, training, and sharing in the teacher forum. In addition, (4) the supporting factors were the motivation of the teachers of both schools to keep updating their knowledge, the availability of the supporting electronic devices, and the initiation of the principal of the State Senior High School 7 to do reflection. Lastly, the inhibiting factors were the lack of electronic facilities such as air conditioners and projectors that were not provided in each classroom in State Senior High School 3.
