Stunting adalah masalah gizi anak yang mendapat perhatian serius dari berbagai negara. Prevalensi stunting di Indonesia sangat tinggi. Kekurangan gizi kronis pada stunting memberikan dampak jangka pendek berupa gagal tumbuh dan dampak jangka panjang berupa gangguan kognitif, rendahnya produktivitas, dan risiko menderita penyakit degeneratif. Salah satu faktor pencegahan stunting adalah tingkat pengetahuan ibu tentang stunting dan pengetahuan asuhan nutrisi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan pengetahuan ibu dan asuhan nutrisi terhadap kejadian stunting pada anak. Jenis penelitian ini adalah observasional analitik dengan rancangan cross sectional. Sebanyak 90 subjek dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Dari hasil uji analisis korelasi spearman rank, terdapat hubungan signifikan antara pengetahuan ibu dengan kejadian stunting nilai r:-0,314 (p-value 0,003) dan terdapat hubungan signifikan antara pengetahuan asuhan nutrisi dengan kejadian stunting nilai r:-0,427 (p-value 0,000). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan ibu dan asuhan nutrisi terhadap kejadian stunting pada anak di Desa Neuheun Kabupaten Aceh Besar.

Stunting is a child nutrition problem that has received serious attention from various countries. The prevalence of stunting in Indonesia is very high. Chronic malnutrition in stunting has a short-term impact in the form of failure to thrive and a long-term impact in the form of cognitive impairment, low productivity, and the risk of suffering from degenerative diseases. One of the factors preventing stunting is the level of knowledge of mothers about stunting and knowledge of nutritional care. The purpose of this study was to find out whether there was a relationship between maternal knowledge and nutritional care for the incidence of stunting in children. This type of research is analytic observational with a cross sectional design. A total of 90 subjects were selected by purposive sampling technique. From the results of the Spearman rank correlation analysis test, there is a significant relationship between mother's knowledge and the incidence of stunting with a value of r:-0.314 (p-value 0.003) and there is a significant relationship between knowledge of nutrition care and the incidence of stunting with a value of r:-0.427 (p-value 0.000). The conclusion from this study is that there is a significant relationship between the level of mother's knowledge and nutritional care on the incidence of stunting in children in Neuheun Village, Aceh Besar District.
