ABSTRAK
Burung Aceh bulbul (Pycnonotus snouckaerti, Siebers 1928) termasuk ke dalam famili Pycnonotidae dari ordo Passeriformes yang dikenal dengan merbah. Burung Aceh bulbul merupakan spesies endemik yang ditemukan di Provinsi Aceh. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui preferensi dan kahadiran burung Aceh bulbul di kawasan hutan Beutong Nagan Raya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada bulan Maret 2022. Pendekatan yang digunakan merupakan deskriptif kualitatif, menggunakan basic research pada lokasi menggunakan metode point count. Hasil dari penelitian burung Aceh bulbul memiliki frekuensi kehadiran yaitu 16,6% atau dalam kategori sangat jarang, preferensi habitat yang digunakan oleh burung Aceh bulbul memilih ketinggian 21 m, penggunaan dahan antara 18m-20m, lebar kanopi 2-3 m, cabang pertama 8 m-12 m dari percabangan pertama ke pucuk pohon, catatan suhu 22-230C. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah pemilihan dahan adalah dibagian ujung pohon.

ABSTRACT The Aceh nightingale (Pycnonotus snouckaerti, Siebers 1928) belongs to the Pycnonotidae family of the Passeriformes order known as merbah. The Aceh nightingale is an endemic species found in Aceh Province. The purpose of this study was to determine the preferences and presence of the Aceh nightingale in the Beutong Nagan Raya forest area. Data collection was carried out in March 2022. The approach used is descriptive qualitative, using basic research at locations using the point count method. The results of the Aceh nightingale study have a frequency of presence of 16.6% or in the very rare category, the habitat preference used by the Aceh nightingale chooses a height of 21 m, use of branches between 18m-20m, canopy width of 2-3 m, first branch 8 m-12 m from the first branch to the top of the tree, temperature record 22-230C. The conclusion of this research is the selection of branches is at the end of the tree. Keywords: aceh bulbul, point count.
