Species Diversity of Tree-Habitus Plants in the Keuliling Reservoir Area, Cot Glie District, Aceh Besar District Reservoirs are built for several important purposes, such as irrigation control, and flood control. Vegetation around the reservoir, especially trees, plays an important role ecologically and maintains water availability. This study aims to determine the importance value index and the level of diversity of tree-loving plant species found in the Keuliling reservoir area. The research method used was exploratory in the Keuliling Reservoir area, Cot Glie District, Aceh Besar District which was carried out from February to March 2023. The research location was divided into three stations. Station I is the area along the banks of the reservoir which is adjacent to the causeway of the settlement, Station II is the area bordering the community garden, and Station III is the area adjacent to the reservoir island. The number of plots at each station is 10 plots. The parameters of this study were the number of tree species, species density, species frequency, species dominance, species importance and species diversity index. The research results obtained 14 species from 10 families found in the research location. The species that has the highest important value is trembesi (Samanea saman Jacq) NP = 202.59 and the plant species that has a low important value is chocolate (Theobroma cacao L) NP = 18.09. The diversity index of tree species in the Keuliling reservoir area is low, namely Ĥ = 1.90. Keywords: Diversity, Species, Trees, Reservoirs
