Bantaran Sungai Kecamatan Tangan-Tangan Kabupaten Aceh Barat merupakan habitat lembab yang merupakan rumah bagi tumbuhan Pteridophyta. Kajian ini dilakukan untuk mendapatkan informasi aktual dan faktual terkait spesies Pteridophyta epifit dan tanah yang terdapat di Bantaran Sungai Kecamatan Tangan-Tangan, Kabupaten Aceh Barat Daya. Proses akuisisi data berlangsung di bulan November 2022. Survey eksploratif dijakan sebagai metode dalam pengumpulan data kajian ini. Tahapan identifikasi spesien tunbuhan paku eifit dan tanah dilakukan dari proses pengamatan morfologi akar, batang, daun dan sorus secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian diperoleh 30 spesies paku yang tergolong ke dalam 11 familia. Spesies paku epifit yang diperoleh adalah 5 spesies yang tergolong ke dalam 3 familia (Dryopteridaceae, Polypodiaceae dan Aspleniaceae) sedangkan spesies paku tanah yang diperoleh adalah 25 spesies yang tergolong ke dalam 11 familia. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa di Bantaran Sungai Kecamatan Tangan-Tangan Kabupaten Aceh Barat Daya didominasi oleh spesies paku tanah.

Pteridophyta plants can be found in the riverbanks of Tangan-Tangan District in West Aceh Regency, which is a damp habitat. Identifying the soil and epiphytic Pteridophyta species in the Bantaran River, Tangan-Tangan District, and Southwest Aceh District was the goal of this study. The data was collected on November 2022. In this study, an exploratory survey was used to collect data. By examining the morphology of the roots, stems, leaves, and sorus form, researchers were able to identify the epiphytic and soil fern species that made up the study's focus. The analysis of the data was descriptive. According to the study's findings, there are 30 species of ferns in 11 families. The ground fern species found were 25 species across 11 families, whereas the epiphytic fern species obtained were 5 species across 3 families (Dryopteridaceae, Polypodiaceae, and Aspleniaceae). Thus, it can be said that ground fern species predominate in the Bantaran River, Tangan-Tangan District, Southwest Aceh Regency. Keywords: Inventory, riverbanks, soil spikes, epiphytic ferns.
