Abstrak
Tingginya keanekaragaman hayati burung di suatu tempat dapat dijadikan sebagai indikator kualitas di suatu habitat, hal ini juga sejalan dengan tingginya peluang gangguan terhadap burung. Gangguan dapat berasal dari kehadiran suatu objek, bunyi mesin, serta benda terbang seperti drone berpeluang dapat menggangu aktivitas burung kuntul kerbau (Bubulcus ibis Linnaeus). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis respon dari burung kuntul kerbau terhadap kehadiran benda terbang dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen. Prosedur pada penelitian ini yaitu drone di terbangkan untuk mengetahui respon burung kuntul kerbau dengan jarak tertentu. Data diperoleh berupa data kuantitatif. Analisis data menggunakan Uji Analisis Varian (ANAVA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jarak gangguan drone terhadap perilaku anti predator burung kuntul kerbau dengan nilai Fhitung 13,412 > Ftabel 3,06 berbeda nyata antar perlakuan. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah jenis respon berupa diam, waspada, dan reaksi aktif.

Abstract The high biodiversity of birds in a place can be used as an indicator of the quality of a habitat, this is also in line with the high chance of disturbance to birds. Disturbance can come from the presence of an object, the sound of machinery, and flying objects such as drones have the opportunity to interfere with the activities of buffalo egrets (Bubulcus ibis Linnaeus). This study aims to determine the types of responses of buffalo egrets to the presence of flying objects using the experimental method. The procedure in this study is that the drone is flown to determine the response of buffalo egrets with a certain distance. Data obtained in the form of quantitative data. Data analysis used Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) test. The results showed that the distance of drone disturbance on the anti-predator behavior of buffalo egrets with a value of Fhitung 13.412 > Ftabel 3.06 significantly different between treatments. The conclusion of this study is the type of response in the form of silence, alert, and active reaction. Keywords: Response Type, Buffalo Egret, Drones, Disturbance Distance
