Studi ini menyelidiki persepsi siswa Generasi Z di SMAN 1 Montasik mengenai penggunaan TikTok sebagai alat untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran kosakata Bahasa Inggris mereka, dengan fokus khusus pada siswa dari kelas XI IA 1 dan XII IA 1. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, mengumpulkan data melalui tes kosakata, kuesioner, dan wawancara. Hasilnya menunjukkan penerimaan positif terhadap TikTok sebagai platform berharga untuk akuisisi kosakata Bahasa Inggris, menyoroti kenyamanan dan konten yang menarik. Sementara hiburan tetap menjadi motivasi utama, siswa terbuka untuk belajar melalui konten pendidikan yang menarik. Namun, tantangan seperti retensi kosakata, masalah jaringan, dan pembelajaran pengucapan dilaporkan. Sebagai kesimpulan, studi ini berkontribusi pada pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang lanskap berkembangnya alat pembelajaran bahasa di era digital.

This study investigated the perceptions of Generation Z students at SMAN 1 Montasik regarding the use of TikTok as a tool to enhance their English vocabulary learning, specifically focused on students from class XI IA 1 and XII IA 1. The research employed a qualitative research method, gathering data through vocabulary tests, questionnaires, and interviews. The results revealed a positive reception of TikTok as a valuable platform for English vocabulary acquisition, highlighting its convenience and engaging content. While entertainment remained a primary motivation, students were open to learning through engaging educational content. However, challenges such as vocabulary retention, network-related issues, and pronunciation learning were reported. In conclusion, the study contributes to a deeper understanding of the evolving landscape of language learning tools in the digital age.
