Hasil belajar matematika siswa hingga saat ini masih rendah, salah satu penyebab hasil belajar siswa rendah dikarenakan kurang aktifnya siswa dalam kegiatan pembelajaran dan penggunaan model pembelajaran yang kurang sesuai. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut guru dapat menggunakan model kooperatif tipe Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) dalam memaksimalkan kondisi belajar untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran dan mendapatkan pengalaman belajar yang maksimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa melalui penerapan model kooperatif tipe Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) materi SPLDV. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian True Experimental Desain, desain yang digunakan adalah Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Baitussalam dengan mengambil sampel dua kelas (kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol) melalui random sampling. Data didapatkan menggunakan tes hasil belajar. Untuk melihat adanya perbedaan kemampuan siswa antara kelas yang menggunakan model kooperatif tipe Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) dengan kelas model konvensional digunakan uji-t pada taraf signifikasi 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa hasil belajar siswa melalui model kooperatif tipe Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) lebih baik daripada hasil belajar siswa melalui pembelajaran konvensional pada materi SPLDV di SMP Negeri 1 Baitussalam.

Student mathematics learning outcomes are currently still low, one of the causes of low student learning outcomes is because students are less active in learning activities and the use of inappropriate learning models. To overcome this problem, teachers can use the Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) type cooperative model to maximize learning conditions to achieve learning goals and get maximum learning experience. This research aims to determine student learning outcomes through the application of the Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) type cooperative model for SPLDV material. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach with True Experimental Design research type, the design used is Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population in this study were all students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Baitussalam by taking a sample of two classes (experimental class and control class) through random sampling. Data was obtained using learning outcomes tests. To see differences in student abilities between classes that use the Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) type cooperative model and conventional model classes, a t-test is used at a significance level of 0.05. Based on the research results, it was found that student learning outcomes through the Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) type cooperative model were better than student learning outcomes through conventional learning on SPLDV material at SMP Negeri 1 Baitussalam.
