Body image atau citra tubuh adalah persepsi individu terhadap penampilan fisik mereka sendiri, yang kemudian dapat berkembang menjadi perbandingan dengan penampilan fisik orang lain dan standar tubuh ideal yang harus dimiliki setiap remaja. Body Image merupakan faktor penting yang mempengaruhi tingkat kepercayaan diri remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara body image dengan kepercayaan diri siswa di SMA Negeri Unggul Aceh Timur. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa di SMA Negeri Unggul Aceh Timur yaitu kelas X dan XI dengan total keseluruhan 202 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Teknik perhitungan sampel menggunakan rumus slovin yang menghasilkan sampel 135 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan skala likert yaitu body image dan kepercayaan diri. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif korelasional. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa body image pada siswa berada pada kategori sedang dengan persentase (44%), dan kepercayaan diri pada siswa berada pada kategori sedang dengan persentase (45%). Berdasarkan hasil analisis korelasi antara body image dengan kepercayaan diri diperoleh nilai r hitung sebanyak 0,483 yang menjelaskan adanya korelasi yang sedang antara body image dengan kepercayaan diri. Adapun nilai signifikasi 0,000 maka nilai signifikasi lebih besar dari 0,05 dengan demikian terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara variabel X (body image) dan Y (kepercayaan diri). Artinya, semakin tinggi body image siswa maka semakin tinggi kepercayaan diri siswa tersebut begitu juga sebaliknya.

Body image is an individual's perception of their own physical appearance, which can then develop into comparisons with the physical appearance of others and the ideal body standards that every teenager should have. Body image is an important factor that affects the level of self-confidence of adolescents. This study aims to determine the relationship of body image and student self-confidence at SMA Negeri Unggul Aceh Timur. The population in this study were students at SMA Negeri Unggul Aceh Timur, namely classes X and XI with a total of 202 students. The sampling technique used simple random sampling technique. The sample calculation technique uses the slovin formula which produces a sample of 135 students. The data collection method uses a Likert scale, namely body image and self-confidence. The approach used in this research is quantitative with descriptive correlational research. The results of this study indicate that body image in students is in the moderate category with a percentage of (44%), and self-confidence in students is in the moderate category with a percentage of (45%). Based on the results of the correlation analysis between body image and self-confidence, the calculated r value is 0.483 which explains the moderate correlation between body image and self-confidence. As for the significance value of 0.000, the significance value is greater than 0.05, thus there is a positive and significant relationship between variables X (body image) and Y (self-confidence). That is, the higher the student's body image, the higher the student's self-confidence and vice versa. Keywords: Body Image, Self Confidence
