Research has been conducted on the heavy metal content of lead in sediments and barnacles (Patelloida striata) in the waters of the jetty port, meulaboh West Aceh. The purpose of this study was to determine the heavy metal content of lead in sediments and barnacles (Patelloida striata) in the waters of the Meulaboh West Aceh jetty port. The study was conducted in March 2024. Sampling was carried out using the Purposive Sampling method using a paralon pipe with a length of 10 cm for sediment sampling and chiseling for barnacle sampling. Sediment and barnacle samples were taken from 3 stations. Lead metal levels in sediment and barnacle samples were analyzed using an Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) at the Environmental Laboratory of the Chemical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Syiah Kuala University. The results of the analysis of lead heavy metal content in sediments as high as 1.200 mg/kg and as low as 0.579 mg/kg showed that the Meulaboh Jetty Port, West Aceh had not been contaminated with lead heavy metals according to US-EPA (United States Environmental Protection Agency) in 2004. Meanwhile, the lead heavy metal content in barnacles is the highest of 0.096 mg/kg and the lowest undetected by the AAS tool of 0.001 mg/kg indicates that biota in the waters of Meulaboh Jetty Port, West Aceh has been contaminated with lead heavy metal according to Indonesian Government Regulation No. 22 of 2021. Keywords: Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS), Metal content, Sediment, Barnacles (Patelloida striata), Lead.
