Bawang merah adalah komoditi hortikultura yang mempunyai nilai ekonomi tinggi. Pemilihan varietas dan pemupukan yang tepat adalah langkah awal dalam meningkatkan produksi tanaman bawang merah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh varietas dan dosis pupuk NPK terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang merah di dataran tinggi Gayo Lues.
Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di Desa Blangbengkik, Kecamatan Blangpegayon, Kabupaten Gayo Lues. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dari bulan Desember 2023 hingga Juli 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok 2 faktorial yang diteliti yaitu varietas dan dosis pupuk NPK maka terdapat pola 3x3 kombinasi perlakuan dengan 3 ulangan sehingga terdapat 27 satuan percobaan. Faktor pertama yaitu varietas Biru Lancor, varietas Tajuk, dan varietas SS Sakato. Faktor kedua yaitu dosis pupuk NPK 500 kg ha-1, 600 kg ha -1, dan 700 kg ha-1.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa varietas berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap jumlah umbi perumpun, bobot umbi perumbi, dan bobot berangkasan kering dan berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman umur 30 HST. Pertumbuhan dan hasil lebih baik pada perlakuan varietas ada pada varietas SS Sakato. Dosis pupuk NPK perpengaruh nyata terhadap bobot berangkasan basah, dan bobot umbi kering. Pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman terbaik dijumpai pada dosis pupuk NPK 600 kg ha-1. Terdapat intraksi yang nyata antara varietas denan dosis pupuk NPK terhadap bobot berangkasan basah dan diameter umbi, kombinasi terbaik dijumpai pada parameter bobot berangkasan basah varietas Tajuk dengan dosis pupuk NPK 700 kg ha-1, sementara diameter umbi kombinasi terbaik dapat dijumpai pada varietas SS Sakato dengan dosis 600 kg ha-1.

Shallots are a horticultural commodity that has high economic value. Selection of the right variety and fertilization is the first step in increasing the production of shallot plants. This study aims to determine the influence of varieties and doses of NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of shallots in the Gayo Lues plateau. This research has been carried out in Blangbengkik Village, Blangpegayon District, Gayo Lues Regency. This research was carried out from December 2023 to July 2024. This study uses a Random Design of 2 Factorial Groups that are studied, namely the variety and dose of NPK fertilizer, there is a 3x3 pattern of treatment combination with 3 replicates so that there are 27 experimental units. The first factor is the Lancor Blue variety, the Header variety, and the SS Sakato variety. The second factor is the dose of NPK fertilizer 500 kg ha-1, 600 kg ha-1, and 700 kg ha-1. The results showed that varieties had a very real effect on the number of tubers, the weight of tubers, and the weight of dry pruning and had a real effect on the height of plants aged 30 DAP. Better growth and yield in variety treatment is in the SS Sakato variety. The dose of NPK fertilizer had a significant effect on the weight of wet crops, and the weight of dry bulbs. The best plant growth and yield were found at a dose of NPK fertilizer of 600 kg ha-1. There was a clear injunction between varieties with NPK fertilizer doses on wet weight and bulb diameter, the best combination was found in the wet weight parameters of the Header variety with a dose of NPK fertilizer of 700 kg ha-1, while the best combination of tuber diameter could be found in the SS Sakato variety with a dose of 600 kg ha-1.
