Prarancangan pabrik Pulp ini menggunakan ampas tebu sebagai bahan baku. Kapasitas produksi pabrik Pulp ini adalah 500.000 ton/tahun dengan hari kerja 330 hari/tahun. Bentuk perusahaan yang direncanakan adalah Perseroan Terbatas (PT) dengan menggunakan metode struktur garis dan staf. Kebutuhan tenaga kerja untuk menjalankan perusahaan ini berjumlah 119 orang. Lokasi pabrik direncanakan didirikan di Provinsi Sumatera Selatan lebih tepatnya di Desa Sukananti, Kecematan Tanjung Batu, Kabupaten Ogan Ilir, Provinsi Sumatera Selatan dengan luas tanah 17.363 m^2. Sumber air pabrik Pulp ini berasal dari sungai Ogan Ilir dengan jarak 2.000 m dengan debit air minimum berkisar antara 0,086 m^3/detik dan debit maksimum 0,299 m^3/detik. Dan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan listrik diperoleh dari Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) dan Generator dengan daya 725.310 watt.
Hasil analisa ekonomi yang diperoleh adalah sebagai berikut:
a. Fixed Capital Investment = Rp. 3.116.834.943.592
b. Working Capital Investment = Rp. 779.208.735.898
c. Total Capital Investment = Rp. 3.896.043.679.490
d. Total Biaya Produksi = Rp. 15.091.722.957.699
e. Hasil Penjualan = Rp. 17.549.999.963.496
f. Laba bersih = Rp 1.826.381.540.798
g. Pay Out Time (POT) = 1,95 tahun
h. Break Even Point (BEP) = 40,6%
i. Internal Rate of Return (IRR) = 35,59 %
Berdasarkan data-data di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa Prarancangan Pabrik Pulpdengan kapasitas produksi 500.000 ton/tahun layak dilanjutkan ke tahap rancangan.

The preliminary design of this Pulp factory uses sugarcane bagasse as raw material. The production capacity of this Pulp factory is 500,000 tons/year with 330 working days/year. The planned form of the company is a Limited LiabilityCompany (PT) using the line and staff structure method. The workforce needed to run this company is 119 people. The location of the factory is planned to be established in South Sumatra Province, more precisely in Sukananti village, Tanjung Batu district, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province with a land area of 17.363 m^2. The water source for this Pulp factory comes from the Ogan Ilir River a distance of 2.000 m with a minimum water discharge ranging from 0,086 m^3/second and a maximum discharge of 0,299 m^3/second. And to meet the electricity needs obtained from the State Electricity Company (PLN) and Generators with a power of 725.310 watt. The results of the economic analysis obtained are as follows: a. Internal Rate of Return (IRR) = 35,59 % Based on the data above, it can be concluded that the Pulp Plant Preliminary Design with a production capacity of 500,000 tons/year is feasible to proceed to the design stage.
