PROFIL HORMON ESTRADIOL SAPI ACEH SELAMA SATU SIKLUS BERAHI


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil hormon estradiol sapi aceh selama satu siklus berahi. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga ekor sapi betina dengan kategori: sehat secara klinis, tidak sedang bunting, dan sudah pernah beranak. Pemeriksaan konsentrasi hormon estradiol, sampel plasma diambil setiap hari dari vena jugularis selama satu siklus berahi. Sebelum dilakukan koleksi sampel plasma, seluruh sapi disinkronisasi berahi menggunakan prostaglandin F2 alpha (PGF2?) 5 ml sebanyak dua kali dengan interval 11 hari. Pemeriksaan konsentrasi hormon estradiol dilakukan dengan metode enzyme linked immunosorbant assay (ELISA) menggunakan kit estradiol komersial. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi estradiol sapi aceh mencapai titik tertinggi selama satu siklus berahi pada saat estrus yaitu 125,51 pg/ml. Konsentrasi estradiol mulai menurun tajam pada hari ke-5 siklus berahi pada 79,58 pg/ml dan meningkat kembali pada hari ke-10 dengan konsentrasi 121,09 pg/ml. Fluktuasi konsentrasi estradiol mulai terjadi pada hari ke-7 sampai hari ke-16 siklus berahi, yang diikuti estrus kembali pada hari ke-17.















The Profile of Estradiol Hormone of Aceh Cattle During One Estrous Cycle


The objective of this research was to find out the estradiol hormone profile of aceh cattle during one estrous cycle. Three adult female aceh cattle were used in this study with categories: healthy clinically, not pregnant, and also ever having offspring. To measure the estradiol hormone concentration, blood sample were taken from the jugular vein everyday for one estrous cycle. Prior to blood collection, cattle’s were synchronized using prostaglandin F2 alpha (PGF2?) 5 ml twice with 11 days interval. The enzyme linked immunosorbant assay (ELISA) was applied to measure the estradiol level using estradiol commercial kit. The result showed that concentration of estradiol aceh cattle reached the highest point at 125.51 pg/ml during the estrus cycle. Concentrations decline sharply on day five as if 79.58 pg/ml and increased again on day 10 with concentration 121.09 pg/ml. Fluctuations of estradiol concentrations occured on day 7 to day 16 estrous cycles, followed by next estrus on day 17.
