Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan jumlah jenis Pteridophyta, perbedaan jenis Pteridophyta epifit dan teresterial, perbedaan jenis Pteridophyta dimorfisme yang terdapat di Kawasan Geothermal Ie Seuum dengan Kawasan Wisata Brayeun Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juni-Juli 2021. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei eksploratif dengan teknik purposive sampling. Objek penelitian ini yaitu spesies Pteridohyta yang terdapat di kawasan Geothermal Ie Seuum dengan kawasan Wisata Brayeun Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Masing-masing lokasi penelitian dibagi ke dalam tiga stasiun yang berbeda. Parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian adalah, karakteristik, jenis dan jumlah, substrat, cara hidup serta Pteridophyta dimorfisme yang terdapat di Kawasan Geothermal Ie Seuum dengan Kawasan Brayeun. Hasil penelitian diperoleh terdapat perbedaan jumlah jenis pteridophyta yang terdapat di kawasan Geothermal Ie Seuum dan Kawasan Wisata Brayeun. Pada Kawasan Geothermal Ie Seuum Terdapat 11 jenis Pteridophyta yang tergolong kedalam 8 familia, pada Kawasan Wisata Brayeun di temukan 23 jenis Pteridophyta dengan 13 familia. Terdapat perbedaan jenis tumbuhan paku epifit dan teresterial di kedua kawasan, pada kawasan Geothermal Ie Seuum 7 jenis hidup secara teresterial dan 3 jenis secara epifit sedangkan pada Kawasan Wisata Brayeun 15 jenis tereterial, 6 Jenis secara epifit. Terdapat perbedaan tumbuhan paku dimorfisme, 3 jenis paku dimorfisme ditemukan di Kawasan Geothermal Ie Seuum dan 4 jenis ditemukan di Kawasan Wisata Brayeun.

This study aims to determine the different types of Pteridophyta, the differences between epiphytic and terrestrial Pteridophyta species, the different types of dimorphic Pteridophyta found in the Ie Seuum Geothermal Area and the Brayeun Tourism Area, Aceh Besar District. The study was conducted in June-July 2021. This study used an exploratory survey method with purposive sampling technique. The object of this research is the Pteridohyta species found in the Ie Seuum Geothermal area with the Brayeun Tourism area, Aceh Besar Regency. Each research location is divided into three different stations. The parameters observed in this study were characteristics, type and number, substrate, way of life, and dimorphic Pteridophyta found in the Geothermal Area, namely Seuum and Brayeun Area. The results showed that there were differences in the number of pteridophyta species found in the Ie Seuum Geothermal area and the Brayeun Tourism Area. In the Ie Seuum Geothermal Area there are 11 species of Pteridophyta belonging to 8 families, in the Brayeun Tourism Area found 23 species of Pteridophyta with 13 families. There are differences in epiphytic and terrestrial fern species in the two areas, in the Ie Seuum Geothermal area 7 species live terrestrially and 3 species are epiphytic, while in the Brayeun Tourism Area 15 species are terrestrial, 6 species are epiphytic. There are differences in dimorphism ferns, 3 types of dimorphism ferns were found in the Ie Seuum Geothermal Area and 4 species were found in the Brayeun Tourism Area.
