Penelitian tentang Studi kelayakan dan pengembangan hutan edu-ec tourism di hutan Pantan Cuaca Kabupaten Gayo lues yang telah dilakukan pada bulan september 2021, dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan dan strategi pengembangan hutan Pantan Cuaca sebagai hutan edu-ecotourism. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode survey exsploratif, wawancara, angket. Data hasil pengamatan dianalisis dengan menggunakan rumus indeks keanekaragaman, skala likert dan analisis SWOT dan di deskripsikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Hutan Pantan Cuaca Kabupaten Gayo Lues layak dijadikan sebagai hutan Edu-ecotourism dengan tingkat kelayakan sebesar sebesar 80% dari kedelapan kriteria yang telah ditentukan dan skor tertinggi diantaranya yaitu kriteria ekologi dan kriteria edukasi, skor terendah yaitu kriteria aksesibilitas dan kriteria sarana prasaran. Beberapa strategi pengembangan hutan Edu-ecotourism yaitu dengan mengembangkan seluruh potensi yang ada seperti keunikan flora dan fauna, memanfaatkan dukungan dari Pemerintah Derah dan masyarakat untuk dapat meningkatkan kualitas objek wisata, perlu pengawasan yang optimal di lapangan dan perlu adanya dukungan masyarakat dari segi pemahaman tentang penjagaan hutan demi terhindar dari bencana. Hutan Pantan Cuaca layak dijadikan hutan Edu-ecotouirms dan perlunya pengembangan hutan Pantan Cuaca dengan mengembangkan potensi hutan berupa flora dan fauna, dengan memanfaatkan hasil hutan, serta perlunya dukungan PEMDA dan masyarakat setempat.

Research on the feasibility study and development of the edu-eco tourism forest in the Pantan Cuaca forest, Gayo Lues Regency, which was carried out in September 2021, with the aim of knowing the feasibility analysis and development of the Pantan Cuaca forest as anforest edu-ecotourism. The method used in this research is a survey method, interviews, and questionnaires. Observational data were analyzed using the diversity index formula, Likert scale and swot analysis and described. The results showed that The Pantan Cuaca Forest of Gayo Lues Regency deserves to be used as anforest Edu-eco tourism with a feasibility level of 80% of the eight predetermined criteria and the highest scores include ecological criteria and educational criteria, the lowest score is accessibility criteria and infrastructure criteria. Some strategies for developing forests Edu-ecotourism are by developing all existing potentials such as the uniqueness of flora and fauna, utilizing support from local governments and the community to improve the quality of tourism objects, needing optimal supervision in the field and needing community support in terms of understanding about conservation. In order to avoid disasters, the conclusion is that the Pantan Cuaca forest is suitable to be used as anforest Edu-ecotouirms with a feasibility level of 80% and the need for the development of the Pantan Cuaca forest by developing forest potential in the form of flora and fauna, by utilizing forest products, and the need for support from the Regional Government and the local community.
