Rumah sakit termasuk salah satu tempat yang berpotensi besar terjadi penyebaran virus COVID-19 terutama di Instalasi Gawat Darurat yang merupakan pintu awal seseorang masuk ke rumah sakit. Untuk menekan penyebaran COVID-19 maka dibutuhkan penerapan protokol kesehatan yang baik. Faktor penting dalam proses penerapan protokol tersebut adalah adanya pengetahuan dan sikap terhadap COVID-19, guna untuk menurunkan angka kasus COVID-19 yang semakin meluas. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat hubungan antara pengetahuan dan sikap mengenai COVID-19 dengan penerapan protokol kesehatan di Instalasi Gawat Darurat RSUD Meuraxa. Penelitian ini mengunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah kelurga pasien di Instalasi Gawat Darurat RSUD Meuraxa dengan metode pengambilan data Convenience Sampling yang berjumlah 120 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa kuesioner pengetahuan, sikap dan protokol kesehatan yang telah diuji reabilitasnya. Teknik pengumpulan data pengetahuan dan sikap dilakukan dengan membagikan kuesioner secara langsung sedangkan penerapan protokol kesehatan dilakukan dengan cara observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 83,3% berpengetahuan baik, 68,3% memiliki sikap positif dan 73,3% patuh akan protokol kesehatan. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan dan sikap mengenai COVID-19 dengan penerapan protokol kesehatan pada keluarga pasien di Instalasi Gawat Darurat RSUD Meuraxa. Diharapkan untuk peneliti selanjutnya agar dapat melihat faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi adanya hubungan antara pengetahuan dan sikap mengenai COVID-19 dengan penerapan protokol kesehatan.

Hospital is one of the most potential places for virus spreading especially in Emergency ward which be the patient’s transfer door of the hospital. Therefore, to avoid the Covid-19 virus spreading, well health protocol implementation is needed. The important factor in implementing health protocol process is having knowledge and attitude toward Covid-19 to lowering the number of Covid-19 cases which has been risen. The aim of this research was to find out the correlation between knowledge and attitude toward Covid-19in Emergency ward of Meuraxa Regional Public Hospital. This research used quantitative method with cross sectional design. The population of this research was 120 patient’s family in Emergency ward of Meuraxa Regional Public Hospital which were chosen by using Convenience Sampling. The research’s instrument was knowledge, attitude, and health protocol questionnaire in which it’s reability has been tested. The data were collected by distributing the questionnaire directly, while the data regarding to the health protocol were obtained by doing observation. The result of the research showed that 83.3% of the patient’s family had good knowledge regarding Covid-19, 68.3% had good attitude regarding Covid-19, and 73.3% obey the health protocol. In conclusion, there was significant correlation between knowledge and attitude regarding Covid-19 and the health protocol implementation on the patient’s family in Emergency ward of Meuraxa Regional Public Hospital. It is expected to the next researchers to conduct other researches related to the factors influence the correlation between knowledge and attitude regarding Covid-19 and the health protocol implementation.
